Rompe el molde (Break the mold)

¿Sabías que tu mente tiene la capacidad de tomar la forma de aquello a lo que la expones?

Romanos 12:2 (RVR 1960)

No os conforméis a este siglo, sino transformaos por medio de la renovación de vuestro entendimiento, para que comprobéis cuál sea la buena voluntad de Dios, agradable y perfecta.

La palabra (conforméis) encuentra su raíz etimológica en la palabra griega susjematízo que quiere decir “conformar al mismo patrón” o tomar la forma de algo o amoldarse. En otras palabras tu mente tiene la capacidad de adaptarse, conformarse, amoldarse, tomar la forma de aquello a lo que tú la expones. Es lo mismo que sucede con la gelatina cuando la expones a un molde determinado. Después de un tiempo, esa gelatina toma la forma misma del molde reproduciendo su forma.

¿A qué molde estas exponiendo tu mente? ¿La expones al sistema de pensamiento que es según Dios, o al sistema de pensamiento que es según el mundo?

Si la expones al molde del mundo, entonces tendrás un pensamiento con la forma de este mundo; pero si la expones al pensamiento según Dios, entonces tu pensamiento y tu mente tendrán un pensamiento acorde a la palabra de Dios.

Quizá me preguntes, ¿y qué importa si me amoldo a un sistema de pensamiento o al otro? La respuesta es sencilla. Lo que tú piensas, eso eres, en eso te conviertes, es por eso que la palabra que estudiamos en Romanos 12:2, dice que la forma de comprobar la buena voluntad de Dios es transformando nuestra mente y renovando nuestro entendimiento. Esto se logra NO acomodándonos al sistema de pensamiento del mundo y exponiendo nuestra vida cada vez más a la palabra de Dios.

Te invito a revisar las fuentes que están influenciando tu pensamiento, pues de ahí parten tus acciones, decisiones y por ende tu destino. Hazte las siguientes preguntas:

• ¿Qué compañías debo revisar?

• ¿Qué amistades debo cambiar?

• ¿Qué programas de TV, radio, internet, debo ver y cuáles no?

• ¿Qué me enseñan las fuentes a las que me expongo?

Break the mold

Did you know that your mind has the ability to take the form of that to which you expose it?

Romans 12:2 (NKJV)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The word (conformed) finds its etymological root in the Greek word suschematizo meaning "conform to the same pattern" or take the form of something, or fashion self-according to. In other words your mind has the ability to adapt, conform, shape, and take the form of that to which you expose it. It's the same thing that happens with gelatin when you expose it to a particular mold. After a while, this gelatin takes the same shape of the mold reproducing its shape.

What mold you are exposing your mind to? To the system of thought that is according to Gods word? Or, the system of thought which is according to the world?

If you expose yourself to the mold of the world, then you will think according to the world; but if you expose yourself to thinking according to God, then your thoughts and your mind will be according to the word of God.

You may ask. What does it matter if I conform to one system of thought or the other? The answer is simple. What you think, you are, in that you become. The word in Romans 12:2 says that the way to prove the will of God is transforming our mind and renewing our understanding. This is achieved by NOT conforming to the system of thought of the world and by exposing our lives more and more to the word of God.

I invite you to review the sources that are influencing your thinking, because this is where your actions and decisions start, and therefore your destiny. Ask yourself the following questions:

• Which companies must I review?

• Which friendships should I change?

• Which TV programs, radio, internet, should I see and which not?

• What are the sources I’m being exposed to teaching me?
