Salmos 1:3 (RVR 1960)

Será como árbol plantado junto a corrientes de aguas, Que da su fruto en su tiempo, Y su hoja no cae; Y todo lo que hace, prosperará.

Un árbol plantado junto a corrientes de aguas es un árbol privilegiado. La lucha permanente de los seres vivos es por sobrevivir, y los árboles no son la excepción. Cuando un árbol es plantado junto a corrientes de agua, suceden varias cosas, las cuales analizaremos a continuación:

Da su fruto en su tiempo:

El fruto es la manifestación de un árbol sano. Un árbol sano siempre producirá fruto. El fruto se produce a tiempo, no antes, ni después. La Biblia enseña que todo en la vida tiene su tiempo (Eclesiastés 3:1). Una de las cosas que más perturba a los seres humanos, es que los frutos que espera ver en su vida, no se dan en el tiempo que cada uno desea. La realidad, es que un árbol no produce fruto cuando él quiere, sino cuando todos los factores que se necesitan para que el fruto sea producido se cumplan (entre ellos el tiempo adecuado). Dios ha establecido tiempos para cada cosa en la vida. Un embarazo humano dura 9 meses, los ciclos de crecimiento del ser humano están programados en tiempos específicos, todos los días duran 24 horas, un año tiene 365 días y así podría continuar. Lo que quiero demostrar es que todo tiene un tiempo específico y por más que nos afanemos, las cosas van a suceder en el tiempo previsto, el tiempo correcto.

Por otro lado, es interesante ver que el árbol da “su” fruto, esto se refiere al fruto del árbol. Un árbol de manzanas no podrá producir naranjas. De la misma manera, en tu vida no podrás producir los frutos que no estás diseñado para producir. No busques producir los frutos de otras personas, produce tu propio fruto.

Y su hoja no cae:

Las hojas son evidencia de vida. Un árbol que pierde sus hojas, pierde su vida. Cuando estamos plantados junto a las aguas, vivimos llenos de vida. Respirar, levantarse y vivir no es necesariamente señal de vida. Hay personas que parecen estar muertas en vida, pasan por la vida consumiendo recursos pero no tienen nada para dar. Solamente aquel que ha encontrado un propósito de vida está vivo de verdad.

Y todo lo que hace, prosperará:

¿Te gustaría que TODO lo que hagas prospere? Debes plantar tu vida junto a corrientes de aguas.

El que cree en mí, como dice la Escritura, de su interior correrán ríos de agua viva.

Jesús es la tierra donde debemos plantar nuestra vida. Cuando nuestra vida está sobre Él, de nuestro interior fluirán ríos de agua viva, tendremos vida, daremos fruto a tiempo y todo lo que hagamos prosperará.

Planted by the rivers of water

Psalm (NKJV)

He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

A tree that’s planted by streams of water is a special tree. The continuing struggle of living beings is to survive, and trees are no exception to this rule. When a tree is planted by streams of water, several things happen:

He brings forth its fruit in its season:

A fruit is the manifestation of a healthy tree. A healthy tree will always produce fruit. The fruit is produced on time and not before or after. The Bible teaches that everything in life has its season (Ecclesiastes 3:1). One of the things that disturb a human being the most is when the fruits he expects to see in his life, do not occur in the season that he wants. The reality is that a tree does not produce fruit when he wants, but when all the factors needed for the fruit to be produced are met (including the appropriate season). God has set times for everything in life. A human pregnancy lasts nine months, growth cycles of human beings are scheduled at specific times, every day lasts 24 hours, and one year has 365 days and so on. What I want to show you is that everything has a specific season and although we can become anxious, things are going to occur in the allotted time, the right time.

On the other hand, it is interesting that a tree brings forth "its" fruit; this refers to the fruit of the tree. An apple tree cannot produce oranges. In the same way, in your life you cannot produce the fruits that you are not designed to produce. Don’t’ seek to produce the fruits of other people, produce your own fruit.

His leaf also shall not wither:

The leaves are evidence of life. A tree that loses its leaves loses its life. When we are planted by the waters, we will be full of life. To breathe and wake up is not necessarily a sign of life. Some people seem to be walking dead; they go through life consuming resources but they have nothing to give. Only he who has found a purpose in life is really alive.

And whatever he does shall prosper:

Would you like everything you do to prosper? You should then plant your life by streams of water.

John 7:37 (NKJV)

Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’

Jesus is the soil where we should plant our life. When our life is rooted in Jesus, rivers of living water will flow from our hearts, we will have life; bear fruit in its right season, and whatever we do will prosper.
