En reflexiones anteriores hemos venido hablando de la existencia de una importante ley conocida como siembra y cosecha.

Génesis 1:28 (NTV)

Luego Dios los bendijo con las siguientes palabras: «Sean fructíferos y multiplíquense. Llenen la tierra y gobiernen sobre ella. Reinen sobre los peces del mar, las aves del cielo y todos los animales que corren por el suelo».

Cuando Dios terminó la creación, le dio a Adán y Eva la instrucción de gobernar sobre la creación. Las leyes y los principios son parte de la creación de Dios y conocer estas leyes nos permitirá gobernar sobre ellas. Por medio de conocer la ley de la gravedad, los seres humanos hemos podido gobernar sobre dicha ley y aprovecharla para nuestro beneficio. Igualmente desconocerla o ignorarla puede traer consecuencias mortales sobre la vida de una persona. Si conoces y entiendes la ley de la siembra y la cosecha podrás gobernar sobre ella y tener una vida de bendición.

La mayoría de personas cuando escuchan o leen el verso que dice que TODO lo que el hombre siembre eso cosechará, SE ASUSTA. Aunque la realidad es que toda siembra ineludiblemente producirá una cosecha, esto no debe asustarnos sino por el contrario animarnos. Esto quiere decir que toda BUENA semilla que sembremos dará su fruto. ¿Y las malas semillas? Pues también, pero podemos pedirle a Dios que reduzca la cosecha y minimice su impacto sobre nuestras vidas mientras a la vez sembramos cosas positivas o contrarias.

Hay personas que dicen que con arrodillarse a clamar a Dios entonces las consecuencias de sus actos serán anuladas. Personalmente rechazo esta postura. La Biblia es clara en que Dios no puede ser burlado y que todo tendrá una cosecha (Gálatas 6:7). Quien debe anular las consecuencias de sus actos negativos es aquel que sembró mal. ¿Cómo? Pues sembrando bien. Si sembraste odio, arrepiéntete y empieza a sembrar amor. Si robaste, trabaja, paga lo que tomaste y restituye (devuelve y compensa el daño hecho). Si fuiste infiel, pide perdón, se fiel y siembra mucho amor y confianza.

Hoy deseo presentarte dos de los 7 principios fundamentales que hacen parte de la ley de siembra y cosecha para que puedas entender mejor esta ley y aprovecharla para tu beneficio. En la próxima reflexión veremos los cinco principios restantes.

• Primer principio: Cosechamos cosas que nosotros no sembramos.

Esto quiere decir que nuestras acciones afectarán a otros así como las acciones de otros afectan nuestra vida. Sobre las acciones de otros estamos llamados a tener buena actitud y aceptarlas con serenidad. Sobre las nuestras, debemos gobernar y tomar control para producir buenas cosechas futuras. Es sencillo, enfócate en lo que puedes controlar y no te desgastes por aquello que está fuera de tu control.

Juan 4:37-38 (NVI)

Porque como dice el refrán: “Uno es el que siembra y otro el que cosecha.” Yo los he enviado a ustedes a cosechar lo que no les costó ningún trabajo. Otros se han fatigado trabajando, y ustedes han cosechado el fruto de ese trabajo.

• Segundo principio: Cosechamos según la semilla que sembramos.

Si siembras bien, cosecharás bien y si siembras mal, cosecharás mal. No se puede cosechar bien cuando se siembra mal.

Mateo 7:18 (LBLA)

Un árbol bueno no puede producir frutos malos, ni un árbol malo producir frutos buenos.

Muchas personas hacen lo malo esperando tener buenas cosechas. Por ejemplo un narcotraficante, pretende enriquecerse por medio de sembrar acciones incorrectas. Un sicario igual o un ladrón. Tarde o temprano sus acciones producirán una cosecha negativa sobre sus vidas. Sea muerte, destrucción, encarcelamiento o enfermedad. Cuando siembras mal, prepárate para cosechar mal.

Génesis 1:11 (RVR 1960)

Después dijo Dios: Produzca la tierra hierba verde, hierba que dé semilla; árbol de fruto que dé fruto según su género, que su semilla esté en él, sobre la tierra. Y fue así.

7 Principles of sowing and reaping Part I

In previous reflections we have been talking about the existence of an important law known as sowing and harvesting.

Genesis 1:28 (NLT)

Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

When God finished His creation, he gave Adam and Eve the command to rule over creation. Laws and principles are part of God's creation and to know these laws will allow us to rule over them. By knowing the law of gravity, we humans have been able to rule over the law and use it to our benefit. Ignoring this law can bring deadly consequences to a person’s life. If you know and understand the law of sowing and reaping you'll rule over it and have a life of blessing.

Most people GET SCARED when they hear or read the verse that says that EVERYTHING a man sows he shall reap. Although the reality is that every seed will inevitably produce a harvest, this should not frighten us but rather encourage us. This means that every GOOD seed we sow will give its fruit. What about the bad seeds? They will produce as well, but we can ask God to reduce the harvest and minimize its impact on our lives while simultaneously we sow positive seeds.

Some people say that by kneeling to God and crying for help then the consequences of their actions will be void. Personally I reject this point of view. The Bible is clear when saying that God is not mocked and that everything we do will produce a harvest (Galatians 6:7). He, who sowed, must cancel the consequences of his bad deeds. How? By sowing good seeds. If you sowed hatred, repent and begin sowing love. If you stole, work, pay what you took and return even more. If you were unfaithful, apologize, be faithful and start sowing love and trust.

Today I want to introduce two of the 7 fundamental principles that are part of the law of sowing and reaping so you can better understand the law and use it to your benefit. In the next reflection we will see the remaining five principles.

• First principle: We reap things we did not sow.

This means that our actions affect others as well as the actions of others affect our lives. About the actions of others we are called to have good attitude and accept them with serenity. About our own, we must govern and take control to produce good future harvests. It's simple, focus on what you can control and do not stress for what is beyond your control.

John 4:37-38 (NIV)

Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.”

• Second principle: We reap according to the seed we sow.

If you sow good, you will reap good, if you sow evil, you will reap evil. You can not reap good if you planted evil.

Mathew 7:18 (NIV)

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

Many people do evil hoping for good harvests. For example, a drug dealer wants to become rich by planting wrongdoing. The same goes to an assassin or a thief. Sooner or later their actions will produce a negative yield on their lives. Let it be death, destruction, imprisonment or illness. When you sow evil seeds, prepare to reap evil.

Genesis 1:11 (NIV)

Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.
