Arrebatar tu bendición (To snatch your blessing)

En estos tiempos he oído cómo ciertos predicadores, al referirse a las bendiciones, usan literalmente el término “arrebatar”; otros de forma más sutil dicen “declarar” o “decretar”. Confieso que yo misma en momentos he utilizado estas palabras para “atraer” a mí las bendiciones o más bien mis deseos personales.

¿Cuántas veces repetimos cosas sin conocer el significado de éstas? ¡Muchísimas veces! Por eso, quiero citar la definición de la palabra “arrebatar” según el diccionario de la Real Academia de la Lengua Española: “Arrebatar (De rebatar) 1.tr. Quitar con violencia y fuerza. 2. Atraer algo, como la vista, la atención, etc. 3. Sacar de sí, conmover poderosamente excitando alguna pasión o afecto.”

Esta terminología nos invita a tratar de poseer, quitar o conquistar lo que nos pertenece. Por ejemplo, si tenemos dificultades financieras, oramos para arrebatar la “prosperidad”. Y si queremos que algún familiar se encuentre con Cristo; oramos para "arrebatar" su alma. Si analizamos muy bien, al hacer esto reducimos el poder de Dios y luego nos atrevemos a decirle “Hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo”. Es un poco contradictorio, ¿no es así?

Si aceptamos que Dios tiene el control de nuestra vida, podemos entender que Él conoce perfectamente lo que cada uno de nosotros necesita, y nos será concedido por añadidura.

Mateo 6:33 (RVR 1960)

Mas buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas.

Ahora bien, el Reino de Dios es mucho más que riquezas y prosperidad, y una vida terrenal abundante en bienes materiales. El Reino de Dios es un reino de libertad en el amor, justicia y paz, y se encuentra en el corazón de cada cristiano que ha permitido que Jesús lo gobierne y ordene su vida.

Entonces, en lugar de pelear con Satanás para quitarle lo que nos pertenece, recordemos que nadie, ni siquiera Satanás, nos puede quitar algo sin que Dios lo permita, dentro del propósito que tiene para nuestras vidas. Por eso te invito a orar en cualquier circunstancia, ya sea de abundancia o escasez (material o inmaterial), para que se haga la voluntad de Dios.

Dios es soberano, Él es el Rey de Reyes, quien nos da y quien nos quita, para bendecirnos según Su voluntad.

This terminology invites us to try to possess, take or conquer what belongs to us. For example, if we have financial difficulties, we pray to snatch "prosperity". And if we want a family member to be with Christ; we pray to snatch their souls. If we look at this closely, by doing this we reduce the power of God, and then we dare to say "Thy will be done on earth as in heaven." This is a bit contradictory, isn't it?

If we accept that God is in control of our lives, we can understand that He knows exactly what each of us needs, and these things we will be granted as an addition.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

However, the Kingdom of God is much more than wealth and prosperity, and an earthly life filled with abundant material goods. The Kingdom of God is a kingdom of freedom in love, justice and peace, and it is in the heart of every Christian who has allowed Jesus to rule and govern their lives.

So, instead of fighting with Satan to take away what belongs to us, we must remember that nobody, not even Satan, can take away anything from us without God's approval according to His purpose in our lives. So I invite you to pray in any circumstance, either abundance or scarcity (tangible or intangible), so that God's will be done.

God is sovereign; He is the King of Kings, who gives and who takes from us to bless us, according to His will.
