que tendrán apariencia de piedad, pero negarán la eficacia de ella; a éstos evita.

La palabra "apariencia" viene de la raíz griega mor'-fo-sis que quiere concretamente decir fórmula. En otras palabras, hay personas que han aprendido la fórmula de la piedad pero tan solo es una fachada que esconde una vida mentirosa.

Hay un dicho popular muy conocido que dice: "Las apariencias engañan". Las iglesias están llenas de personas que han aprendido una fórmula religiosa de piedad, pero su vida en realidad está vacía. Viven lejos de Jesús y tienen poco compromiso con Su palabra. Yo les llamo actores de la fe. Son especialistas en actuar como si fuesen santos, piadosos, amorosos y bondadosos.

Estos actores, son buenos predicadores de la palabra, hablan bonito, caminan bonito, adoran a Dios con denuedo, sirven en su iglesia local y hasta se quebrantan y lloran cada servicio dominical. Sin embargo, son solo eso: ACTORES. Su vida de intimidad y su vida por fuera de las cuatro paredes de la iglesia demuestra su verdadero ser. Son aparentadores, falsificadores y mentirosos.

La Biblia es clara frente a estos personajes: "A éstos evita, o como dice la Nueva Versión Internacional, ¡Con esta gente ni te metas!"

Al final, lo que otros hagan con su vida es problema de ellos con Dios. Nosotros debemos preocuparnos cada uno por vivir una vida cristiana de verdad. Amar de verdad, y dejarnos guiar por el Espíritu Santo en todo. La clave para vivir una vida cristiana de verdad, es someterse por completo a Él. Si somos controlados y guiados por Jesús en todo lo que somos y hacemos, entonces nuestras obras no serán fruto de nuestro esfuerzo fingido, sino que serán consecuencia de la manifestación de la gracia de Dios en cada uno.

La mayor evidencia de haber conocido a Dios es el amor por los demás. El apóstol Pablo, también nos exhortó a no amar con fingimiento sino a amar de verdad.

No finjan amar a los demás; ámenlos de verdad. Aborrezcan lo malo. Aférrense a lo bueno.

Do you act religious?

They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

The word "act" comes from the Greek root mor'-fo-sis which specifically means formula. In other words, there are people who have learned to live under the formula of piety but just as a facade that hides a lying life.

There is a well-known popular saying: "Looks can be deceiving." The churches are full of people who have learned a religious formula of godliness, but actually have empty lives. They live far from Jesus and have little commitment to His word. I call them actors of faith. Specialists that are acting as if they were holy, pious, loving and kind.

These actors are good preachers of the word, speak nice, walk pretty, worship God with boldness, serve in their local church and even break and cry every Sunday service. However, they are just that: ACTORS. Their private life, and their life outside the four walls of the church show who they truly are. They are pretenders, liars and forgers.

The Bible is clear facing these characters: "Stay away from people like that!"

In the end, what others do with their lives is their problem with God. Each one of us should care for living a real Christian life. Truly loving each other and being guided by the Holy Spirit in everything. The key to living a real Christian life is to submit ourselves completely to Him. If we are controlled and guided by Jesus in everything we are and do, then our works will not be the result of our feigned effort, but a result of the demonstration of God's grace in our lives.

The greatest evidence of knowing God is love towards others. The apostle Paul also urged us not love with a pretended love, but to truly love.

Romans 12:9 (NLT)

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
