Me conduce junto a arroyos tranquilos.

Este verso habla de paz interior. Cuando entregamos nuestra vida a Jesucristo, Él nos conduce a arroyos tranquilos. Si alguna vez has estado junto a un arroyo, es más fácil para ti entender este pasaje. Estar en un arroyo produce una paz interior que nos lleva a querer estar ahí toda la vida.

La paz no es una emoción temporal ni un estado asociado a las situaciones externas. La paz que se siente junto a un arroyo por ejemplo, es producida por el entorno que a uno lo rodea, pero la paz que Jesús nos provee es una paz que fluye de nuestro interior y que no depende de las circunstancias. Tener paz cuando todo está bien es muy fácil; sin embargo, eso no es paz.

La verdadera paz interior se manifiesta en medio de la adversidad. Es por esto que el Rey David escribió el bien conocido Salmo 4:8 "En paz me acostaré y así mismo dormiré..." en medio de la adversidad.

Cuando entregas tu vida a Jesús, tu paz no depende de las situaciones externas sino que tienes una promesa dada por Él que dice que esos arroyos de tranquilidad fluirán de tu interior.

El que cree en mí, como dice la Escritura, de su interior correrán ríos de agua viva.

Sin importar qué situación estés enfrentando hoy, te invito a que le pidas a Jesús que te conduzca y pastoree hacia los arroyos de paz que ha prometido para los que creemos en Él.

He leads me beside peaceful streams.

This verse speaks of inner peace. When we give our lives to Jesus Christ, He leads us to peaceful streams. If you've ever been at a stream, it is easier for you to understand this passage. Being beside a stream produces an inner peace that makes want to be there forever.

Peace is not a temporary emotion nor a state associated with external situations. Peace that comes due to sitting next to a stream, for example, is produced by the environment that surrounds you; but the peace that Jesus gives us is a peace that flows from within and does not depend on the circumstances. Having peace when all is well is very easy; however, that is not peace.

True peace is manifested in the midst of adversity. That's why King David wrote the well-known Psalm 4:8 "I will both lie down in peace, and sleep..." in the midst of adversity.

When you give your life to Jesus, your peace does not depend on external situations. In fact, He has promised that peaceful streams will flow from your inside.

John 7:38 (NKJV)

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.

No matter what situation you're facing today, I invite you to ask Lord Jesus to lead you beside the peaceful streams that he has promised for those who believe in Him.
