Ciertamente les aseguro que mi Padre les dará todo lo que le pidan en mi nombre.

Es muy común ver a los creyentes, terminar las oraciones con la frase "En el nombre de Jesús, Amén". Jesús mismo fue quien nos instruyó a orar o a pedir en Su nombre, sin embargo, estoy seguro de que Él se refería a algo muy distinto que cerrar nuestras oraciones con una frase que ni siquiera entendemos. Muchos la repiten de manera supersticiosa pensando que al hacerlo mágicamente sus oraciones serán contestadas. Otros simplemente han aprendido que esa es la manera de finalizar su oración, en otras palabras lo que quiere decir esa frase, es "terminé, ahora si voy a seguir con mis otras actividades".

Será mejor que dejes de usar esa frase repetida si cuando lo haces no conoces el significado del nombre de la persona de Jesús, y si no estás realmente queriendo decir: "Lo que estoy pidiendo, lo hago en la autoridad del nombre de Jesús".

Cuando oramos en el nombre de Jesús, debemos hacerlo entendiendo claramente lo que Su nombre representa. Aunque orar en el nombre de Jesús es mucho más que una frase dentro de nuestras oraciones, sería mejor iniciar las oraciones en su nombre, en lugar de terminar con ellas. Puedes hacerlo de la siguiente manera: "Padre, vengo ante ti, no en mi poder, no en mi justicia, ni en mi capacidad. Vengo a ti en la autoridad de Jesús, tu Hijo, quien me otorgó acceso a ti por medio de su sangre y a través de la fe que confieso. Hoy vengo a ti Dios fundamentado en la obra de Jesús, no en mis obras...".

Como ya lo dije antes, no se trata de repetir mecánicamente una frase, sino de entender el poder que nos ha sido dado en el nombre de Jesús.

Ahora bien, el nombre de Jesús tiene una autoridad única. La Biblia enseña que no hay otro nombre como el de Jesús.

Filipenses 2:9 (RVR 1960)

Por lo cual Dios también le exaltó hasta lo sumo, y le dio un nombre que es sobre todo nombre.

¿Por qué orar en el nombre de Jesús?

• Jesús es el único camino al Padre. (Juan 14:6)

• Solo hay un mediador entre Dios y los hombres y este es Jesús. (1 Timoteo 2:5)

• Jesús es el único que intercede eternamente por nosotros ante Dios. (Hebreos 7:25)

• No hay salvación en nadie más sino en Jesús. (Hechos 4:12)

• Solo en Jesús encontramos perdón de pecados. (Hechos 26:17-18)

• En su nombre suceden milagros, sanidades, y liberaciones. (Marcos 16:17-18)

• Al orar en el nombre de Jesús, glorificamos a Dios el Padre. (Juan 14:12-14)

Nunca se te olvide que Jesucristo nuestro Salvador y Señor vino a la tierra y derramó su sangre por todos nosotros los pecadores. Recuerda que toda rodilla se doblará ante Jesús.

¿Estas confiando en el Señor Jesús? Jesucristo tiene todas las respuestas; cuando ores, acércate a Dios en el nombre de Jesús. Cuando vayas a la iglesia o cuando estés es tu casa, examina tu corazón; ¿en quién estas confiando cada día, en ti o en el Señor Jesús?

¡Comienza a confiar y a clamar el nombre de Jesús!

In Jesus' name

Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

It is very common to see believers end their prayers with the phrase "In Jesus' name, Amen." Jesus himself instructed us to pray or ask in His name, however, I'm sure he meant something very different than to just close our prayers with a phrase that few understand. Many repeat it in a superstitious way, thinking that by doing so magically their prayers will be answered. Others have simply learned that this is the way to end a prayer, in other words what that phrase means is "I'm finished, now I will continue with my other activities".

You'd better stop using that phrase repeatedly if when you say it you don´t know the meaning of the name of the person of Jesus, and if you're not really saying: "What I'm asking for, I do it in the authority of the name of Jesus".

When we pray in Jesus' name, we must do it clearly understanding what His name represents. Though praying in the name of Jesus is much more than a phrase in our prayers, it would be better to start praying on in His name, rather than closing our prayers with a repeated phrase. You can do this as follows: "Father, I come before you, not in my own power, not in my own righteousness, not in my own capability. I come before you in the authority of Jesus, your Son, who gave me access to you through His blood and by the faith I confess. Today I come to you God based on the work of Jesus, not in my works...".

Now the name of Jesus has a unique authority. The Bible teaches that there is no other name like Jesus.

Philippians 2:9 (NKJV)

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.

Why pray in Jesus' name?

• Jesus is the only way to the Father. (John 14:6)

• There is only one mediator between God and men, and this is Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5)

• Jesus is the one who intercedes for us before God forever. (Hebrews 7:25)

• There is salvation in no one else but Jesus. (Acts 4:12)

• Only in Jesus there is forgiveness of sins. (Acts 26:17-18)

• In His name miracles, healings, and deliverances occur. (Mark 16:17-18)

• As we pray in the name of Jesus, we glorify God the Father. (John 14:12-14)

Never forget that our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ came to earth and shed his blood for all of us sinners. Remember that every knee will bow before Jesus.

Do you trust the Lord Jesus? Jesus has all the answers; when you pray, come to God in the name of Jesus. When you go to church or when you are home, examine your heart; whom do you trust every day, you or the Lord Jesus?

Begin to trust and call upon the name of Jesus!
